April 3 "It is estimated esti-mated that ?l,000,0i0 of the proposed school bond isue of $2,180,000 will be usod for the erection and equipment of a new West high school building." H. A. Smith president of the city board of education, said last night. The compulsory educational I law passed by the last legislature provides that all children from 14 to 18 years of age who have not graduated from high school must attend school at least 144 hours a year. "If appropriations are made for the buildings, both structures will be erected on the present high school grounds, which are owned by the board of education," Mr. Smith said.
