Some of thme gardens may be planted plant-ed simply because some senator or congressman sent some seeds and a Bense of economy dictates that some thing should be done with them, but in most cases the gardens are being j planted because the lesson of their, value has been learned. Some of the gardens are being prepared pre-pared for planting by the use of a I spade well handled by a brawny arm, but others are being plowed by real plows drawn by horses. So far the little tmctors have not made an appearance on the gardens ae they did last year. It may be that some of the larger tracts will be plowed plow-ed by tractors before the planting season sea-son ends. |
