The western coal operators have been called to Washington for the purpose pur-pose of presenting labor and other conditions con-ditions existing in the western coal fields to the coal commission appointed appoint-ed by the president. Mr. Pape left with a full array ot figures fig-ures and in conjunction with P. J. Quealy, president of the Kemmerer and Gunn-Quealy companies, will put before the commission the facts concerning con-cerning the coal industry in the south-( cdn Wyoming district. Mr. Pape will; also be prepared to assist the Utah ' coal men. In presenting their side off the coal controversy. I Mrs. Pape accompanied Mr. Pape' and before returning they will visit Nev York and other eastern cities. I They will bo away several weeks. |
