Show REPEAL OF OHIO DRY LAW HAS BEEN DEFEATED Columbus, o., Nov. 8 Whether Ohio voters last Tuesday approved or repudiated the action of the legislature legisla-ture in ratifying the federal prohibition prohibi-tion amendment probably will not be known definitely lor a week or ten days Complete official and unofficial returns from 87 of the 88 counties, however, showed that repeal of statewide state-wide prohibition had been defeated by approximately 30.000, that the proposal to manufacture beers and wines containing con-taining up to 2 75 per cent alcohol had been defeated by approximately 15.000 and that the Crabbe prohibition enforcement en-forcement act had been defeated by approximately 25,000. The returns from the 87 counties gave the wets a majority of only -138 against ratification. Returns from the missing county. Lake, gave the drys a majority of 659. which would reduce the wet majority to only 269 votes. However, seven precincts are still missing, which may turn the wet majority ma-jority into a dry vote. 00 . |
