Ogden High school appreciates the hearts co-operation of the townsmen the past week in making tho big drive for "Better English" n success. The public library. Spargo's Book Store, and tho urlo hop have displayed poster1 made to show the need of correct English. Their courtesy Is appreciated because It has made It possible for tho citizens of Ogd n to see what tho pupils are really doing. Unique Program of Stunts and Speechei. The student body organization offered a 5 prise for the best four-minute speech on "Better English " Of the many contestants three were chosen to speak at the public program. Kenneth falan. Mary Whit tier and Mary Ensign gave most excellent speeches. Tho udges cho.se Mary Fnslgn. a senior, as the best speaker Interesting stunts were presented pre-sented by elasses and Glee clubs. Undoubtedly Un-doubtedly the best number was tho mock trial of the Four Verb Brothers. The erimlnals had been charged with sn attempt to eommlt murder upon tho person of Miss Mother Tongue Th(?y were, of course, found guilty and scn-' scn-' n ed to death. |
