Show WEBER COUNTY RAS MADE GOOD RECORD Weber county expended $5,513.81 during the quarter ending September 30 in assisting poor people, indigents, burying paupers and caring for tho county Institutions, according to the report of Commissioner Brown, who has charge of this work for thecoun- The report states that thirty-six people have been aided at the county Infirmary during the' quarter at an , average cost of $29.10 per person. For salaries of attondants at the place $S81.70 was expended and tho purchase pur-chase of drugs amounted to $35.25. The total expenses for the infirmary during the quarter has been $2,614.44. Eleven people living at the Infirmary have been given hospital treatment but tho health of the others is reported report-ed to bo good. Seventy-eight people have been helped regularly in the county during the quarter. The assistance includes the buying of groceries, coal, clothing and financial aid. Tho total cost of this charity amounted to $2,014.07. In addition to these on the regular list thirty-two havo "been aided temporarily temporar-ily at a cost of $370.15 for the quarter. quar-ter. Drugs, ambulance service to tho hospital, drayage and food and clothing cloth-ing enter into this account as expense items. Assistance have been given to twenty-seven transient indigents. These Include people who have been helped to get to their homos through giving them railroad faro and other aids. This account has amounted to $233.05. Besides railroad faro temporary financial finan-cial assistance has been given some of tho transient Indigents. Six paupers have been burled by tho county during tho month at a cost of $90. Ono of these was picked up September Sep-tember 4 and has not been identified yet. The report states further that thero were four patients at the Isolation hospital hos-pital from July 21 to September 18. |
