Show oo SOLDIERS THANKFUL FOS FESCUES FROM : iHFJ Appreciation of the gifts of peaohe3 and other fruits and vegetables given tho boys from Fort Douglas by North Ogden farmers was contained in a letter received at the Ogden Publicity bureau from Captain H. L. Jordan, supply sup-ply officer of tho 42nd Infantry, today. The captain In behalf of tho soldiers extends thanks for the fruit and the warm reception given the boys while in Ogden. The letter follows: "Mr. O. J. SUlwoll, Weber club, Ogden, Og-den, Utah. Dear Sir: In behalf of tho enlisted men of tho 42nd U. S. Infantry, In-fantry, I wish to extend to you our sin-core sin-core thanks for your generosity and kindness on tho occasion of our 'peach expedition' to Ogden. "Your courteous treatment of my party and mo will always bo romem-borod romem-borod by all concerned. "Please extend our thanks to Frank Moore, Samuel Ferrin and tho other donors of the peaches, and assure them that the men appreciated and enjoyed them very much." |
