Show BEET CONTRACTS ARE TO BE CONSIDERED SATURDAY Several items of considerable importance im-portance will come before the directors di-rectors of the Weber county farm bureau at the meeting to bo held on Saturday. The question perhaps of main importance will bo a considera-lion considera-lion of methods of conducting the campaign for Liberty Loali bonds through the county districts. The farm organization has a membership of 900 and it is thought that this number num-ber will be very useful in spreading the information and urging participation partici-pation in the loan in their districts. The farmers are reported as enthusiastic enthusi-astic over the bond campaign and eager to do their share in helping raise the required amount. Plans for a house-to-house canvass In tho Inter, est of the Liberty Loan will be discussed dis-cussed and ah qrganization effected with the co-operation of the county committee representing the seven banks in Ogden. The question" of sugar beet con-tracts con-tracts for 1918 will also be considered by the bureau directors. The con. , tracts offered by the sugar company, J one a flat rate of 5S.50 per ton and the other a profit-sharing plan will be discussed. dis-cussed. Crop reports for the entire county will be made at this meeting also. Data on all of the crops harvested and to be harvested will be gathered and submitted to tho bureau. The matter of the farm loan assocL ations will also be taken up. The farmers desiring to take advantage of this provision will be urged to speed up their applications. Tho members of tho bureau will also bo asked to furnish a list of the sheep and cattle which they have available for sale or which they desire de-sire to buy that it may be turned over to the forest service. This request Is in pursuance of the recent co-opera tive arrangement whereby the service is to aid farmers and small cattle raisers in marketing their stock at , good prices and buying stock when ! desired.
