Show give u imnwi The second campaign for the sale of liberty bonds in Ogden was started today to-day with a drive which netted $1,000,-000 $1,000,-000 or two-thirds of the total allotment allot-ment of $1,500,000 charged to this city and county. This amount was subscribed sub-scribed within a half hour when more than a score of bankers and representatives represen-tatives of tho principal business Institutions Insti-tutions in Ogden attended a dinner at the Weber club given by W. H. Wat-tls, Wat-tls, president of tho commercial body. While the list of subscribers today includes most of the larger business firms that were expected to contribute liberally, the fact that the actual canvass can-vass by clearing; house committees is not yet actually under way means that Ogden's allotment is almost certain to be largely over-subscribed. One million mil-lion dollars in liberty loan subscriptions' subscrip-tions' at one meeting is a record which has not been equalled in this state since the first loan was offered to the public. Tho following list of subscriptions, which includes the $100,000 previously announced for the Pingree National bank, was the result of today's meeting meet-ing at the club: First National Bank $100,000 Utah National Bank" 100,000 Pingree National Bank, formerly former-ly reported 100,000 Ogden State Bank 100,000 Commercial National Bank . . . 75,000 Ogden Savings Bank 50.000 Security State Bank 40,000 Amalgamated Sugar Company 160,000 David Eccles Estate company 50,000 John Scowcroft & Sons Co. 50,000 Ogden Portland Cement Co. . . 20,000 Utih Construction company .. 30,000 Utah Sales Company 5,000 Lion Coal Company 10,000 Wvoming Coal Company 5,000 C.
