Show STATE DEPUTY COM ADDRESSES THE 11. OF I. Members of the Modern Woodmen of America and the Royal Neighbors of America were accorded a rare treat last evening, In hearing an address by John E. Swanger, state deputy consul. The meeting was held in the lodge rooms in tho Hurst building. Mr. Swanger is a most interesting speaker and held his audience in rapt attention while he delved into fratern-alism fratern-alism or took timo to tell a funny story. He had a message for the lodge members mem-bers in Ogden and ho conveyed that message most convincingly. In the afternoon, he was taken for an auto ride about the city and through Ogden canyon. He was deeply impressed im-pressed with the beauty of tho city and its surroundings and said that he was almost tempted to move his residence resi-dence hero from Salt Lake. He stated that the east talks more of Ogden than of any other city in the west and that Ogden canyon and its beauties had done it. After the address, members of the two lodges enjoyed cards until nearly midnight. F. O.
