TAKEN FOR A 1I0E THROUGH GtTY Four military men. all of whom arc rcturntng from service in France, called at the canteen at the depot this morning and left Ogden filled with admiration ad-miration for tho city and for tho kind and thoughtful canteen workers. They wore Lieutenant a L. Rake-straw, Rake-straw, of the Fourth engineers, Lester B. Karelli, pay cleric in tho United Stales navy, Lieutenant Mark Slosson, of the navy, and Major Joseph W. Hope" of the United States navy medical medi-cal corps. Lieutenant Rakostraw was gassed while in service in France and is now returning to his home in Oakland, Cal., to recuperate Tho other three mom-ben; mom-ben; are going to various places in California. Cal-ifornia. Mrs. Bristol, of the women's motor i division, nccompanied by Mrs. Adole Bowman, who was in charge of the can-I can-I teen today, took the officers for a trip , up the canyon and to various other points of Interest, until time for them to depart. on . |
