Show UNION LEADER TO HEAD BIG PROTEST SEATTLE, Wash.. Nov. 22 James Duncan, secretary of the Seattle Central Cen-tral Labor Council, stated today he had written Samuel Gompers, president presi-dent of tho American Federation of Labor, asking him to take charge of I tho union movement toward a nationwide nation-wide strike as a protest against the execution of Thomas J. Mooney, convicted con-victed of murder. Mr. Duncan sent Mr. Gompers copies cop-ies of resolutions passed by tho Central Cen-tral Labor Council asking tho American Amer-ican Federation of Labor to call n gon-eral gon-eral Moonoy strike and request British and Canadian leaders to do likewise. All Seattle labor unions have been asked by the central labor council to vote on the question of striking Dec. 9. Tho lathers and machinists already have voted to strike. oo |
