Show HEBER J, GRANT, PRESIDENT OF J i CHURCH, AND APOSTLES LID ;: . m Penrose (mmim 'j I '' ' IP IMg At a meeting of ihn quorum of apostles apos-tles hld this morning in the temple at Salt Lake, Heber J. Grant was set apart end unanimously sustained as the president of the church and trus-tee-in-trust for tho body of religious worshipers known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Anton H. Lund was nominated by the new president as first counsellor to the president- and Charles W. Penrose Pen-rose was nominated as the second counsellor. Both men filled the same pos'lion under the late President Joseph Jo-seph F. Smith. For the first time in the history of the church, one of the counsellors to the president was set apart as president presi-dent of tho board of apostles, in the sustained and setting apart of Anton -i 1 u 1 1. ii iujula'Ii i iiiium .eei I II. Lund in that capacity. All tho apostles wpro present at the meeting with the exception of Reed Smoot, who is in Washington, and George F. Richards, who is doing work in a missionary capacity.
