Show 'FRED SMITH DIES 1 SALT LAKE SALT LAKE, Nov. 23 In less than twenty-four hours after the death of Hyrum PIngree. cashier of the Na tional city bank, who died Thursday (evening from influenza, Fred Smith, assistant cashier of the same. institution, insti-tution, died at a local hospital from the same disease. Other members of J ! tho staff of the bank are reported to be suffering from the influenza. Mr. Smith had been ill about one week. Ho was born In Salt Lake February 18, 1880, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Smith. Ho wask educated in tho city schools, and, after completing com-pleting his high school course, entered en-tered the banking business, which he followed until his death. Besides his widow, Mr. Smith Is survived sur-vived by his parents, four brothers and threo sisters. Funeral arrangements arrange-ments will be announced later. ' oo |
