The meeting will be open to parents and friends. CIVIC LEAGUE. A meeting of the Civic league will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at the home of Mrs. J. W. Wintle, 875 Twenty - fourth street. TEA AND RED CROSS WORK. The regular monthly tea of Queen Esther Chapter. O. E S.. will be held at the Masonic club rooms tomorrow. The afternoon will be devoted to Red I Cross work. Those having finished knitted garments are urged to turn, them over to Mrs. Haslet at this time. TO LEAVE FOR CAMP KEARNY. Armand C. Tribe, sou of Mr. and Mrs Charles J Tribe, of 458 Twenty- first street, who has been visiting for a few days at home, will leave Ogden tomorrow for Camp Kearny Mr. Tribe has been in the east, where be received re-ceived special instructions on I he-large he-large guns. While there he set a new record of firing the three inch gun,; 'loading and firing forty-one shots in one minute and twenty-one secods The young man will be promoted to sergeant upon his arrival at Camp Kearny. He belongs to the ordnance department of Ihe 115th (Utah) field artillery, Battery B. BUSINESS MEETING. A business meeting of the Sterling Hall section and Section 5 of the Methodist Louies aiu bocibij was held at the home of Mrs. J. Helnen, 634 Twenty-second street. Monday' afternoon when plans were made for a May day dinner to be given in ihe church parlors, the funds derived from the affair to be used on the pledges j for the year.
