Show TWO YOUNGS TO MEET INSALT LIE Battle Expected When Al Young Clashes With Bull Young Tonight. SALT LAKE, Dec. 31. I'.ocal boxing fans are looking forward to a night of great sport at the Grand theater this evening when Al Young and Bull Young will tangle over the six-round route In the main event of Downing's weekly boxing show. Al Young participated in a twenty-round twenty-round bout at Anaconda and wired Manager Downing that he would leave Immediately after the bout and was expected some time yesterday, but will probably arrivo on tho early train this, morning. Bull Young is ready and rearing to go. He says he is in better shape for this match than for any in which he has participated since his arriva. The semi-wind-up between Kid Davis of Ogden and Al Palzer, the two iron men of the local boxing game, is another bout that is attracting the interest in-terest of the fans. It is almost certain to bo a real slugfest from gong to gong. Battling Charles MIdkiff will meet a promising looking youngster in Bob Martin of Fort Douglas. Martin has showed up exceptionally well In his only two bouts at the Grand and the wise ones are picking him to give old battler a mighty busy. evening. Although Jack Borscha has never appeared at tho Grand, the soldier boys at the fort are touting him as the toughest lightweight up there and predict pre-dict that he will clean up Young Al-varado Al-varado in jig time. The "white hope" battle between Joe Reynolds, Peter Jackson's six-footer, and Ben Franklin of the fort also promises plenty of real action and hard hitting, as these big fellows swing them for al they are worth and some one is apt to go down if they connect. The regulation amateur curtain-raiser curtain-raiser will open the fun as usual and will no doubt bring forth the usual number of good laughs |
