Show WOMEN'S SIKH OF COUKR. OF DEFENSE At a meeting of the women's branch of the Weber county council of national na-tional defence, the action of the Women Wom-en of American Patriots in preparing a lis J of all the boys of Ogden who have entored the service, was endorsed. endors-ed. The meeting was held at the residence resi-dence of Mrs. Edward Bichsel. Mrs. R. B. Spangler, chairman of the publicity committee of the organization, orga-nization, delivered an addres?, explaining ex-plaining the patriotic achievements of the society throughout the country, and also of tho new work which is to be started at once. Members of the Women's council of national defense, expressed the opia " ion that they should be permitted to wear badge to show the force of the 1 work which they are conducting. TheT stated that they wero questioned an' necessarily on the purpose of their or-ganizatlon, or-ganizatlon, and voiced the opinion that r an ofllcial badge could be made to an- ; swer the questions automatically. Mrs. J. G. Falck, chairman of An-erican An-erican Patriots, gave a report shorty the progression of the work of that organization. Mrs. H. H. Spencer, chairman of the council, gave plans of work to be carried car-ried on by the women in the next liberty lib-erty loan campaign. She will atteri tho campaign meeting which will hi t held in Salt Lake on August 17th. j |
