Show LARGE PARTY FOR SOLDIER BOYS .JH Over 100 friends of Charles W. ' Knight wero entertained at the home of the mother, Mrs. John Drew, 301 iH Fourteenth street last Thursday even- ing, the occasion being the call to t colors of the young man who left Og-den Og-den Friday evening with a large num-ber num-ber of other Ogden boys. Mr. Knight is ll of the city's best boys and will be missed by many friends. The party of Thursday was one of the prettiest events of the woek and ii l was quite the most enjoyable. Patrlo-tic Patrlo-tic decorations intermingled with lovoly summer flowers were arranged .H throughout tho home and about the : porch and lawn where the guests were fi entertained during the evening. Part of tho evening's enter-talnment enter-talnment were the vocal selec-tions selec-tions given by Mrs'. Pearl Elliott and Mrs. Fern Shugmo who sang, "The Grand Old Flag" and otiier patriotic :, songs. The entire evening was delight- Vl fully spent in singing, dancing and merrymaking and a tempting luncheon !H was served by the hostess. A gift of the neighbors to the young man was a signot ring and the presen- liH tation speech was made by William Salt who also recited the English boy's letter on Democracy and Free-dom. Free-dom. Huf- ' stetler loft Ogden last evening for Camp Fremont with a large quota of iPH boys from this city and the two young fH men, who have been chums ror years lljH hope to meet their brothers In France soon. 11 Waldron Knight, brother of Charle3 jOH and Claude Hufstetler a brother of f$ Everett loft Ogden some time ago and (P are now In Franco together.
