Show oo THIRTY-FSVE INDICTMENTS Men Involved Made Over Million Mil-lion Selling Stolen Ore to U. S. Mints. CHEYENNE, Wyo , May 24. Thirty-five Thirty-five indictments in the so-called "high grading" conspiracy cases were returned re-turned by the federal grand jury here this afternoon. The men Involved, the government alleges, made a fortune by selling stolen ore to United States mints throughout the country. The amount involved is said to have exceeded ex-ceeded a million dollars The names of thirteen of those indicted in-dicted were made public, the remaining remain-ing twenty-two being withheld until arrests are made. Among those indicted in-dicted was Antonio Cuaz, who was arrested ar-rested in San Francisco, May 2nd last, while negotiating for the disp6sal of $15,000 -worth of gold to the mint there. The men are charged with conspiracy conspir-acy to defraud the government. |
