A pretty wedding occurred last evening even-ing al the home of Mr. and Mrs Hv-rum Hv-rum ison on Volker avenue, when their daughter Winifred became the bride of Bryant J. Furniss, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Furniss. Bishop I James W. T're of the Filth ward per- formed the marriage ceremony before i about thirty members of the two fam I ilies Miss Mary Furniss acted as I bridesmaid and Elias Cross as best j man Following tho ceremony a wedding upper was enjoyed and a pleasant evening spent. Mr. and Mrs. Furniss will be at home at Thirtieth and Porter avenue this month. The young couple receive the congratulations con-gratulations and besl wishes ol their many friends. LINGER LONGER CLUB Mrs. Fred i Newman proved herself a charming hostess yesterday aftor-, aftor-, noon to members of the Linger Longer Udub at her home, 1100 Canyon road The Indies brought their crocheting land spent a plensant afternoon The hostess served a tempting luncheon. Those present wore Mrs Fred Walker, Walk-er, Mrs. J. T. Green. Mrs. A. Scherer, Mrs. Ray Stone. Mrs McLean, Mrs. E. B. Fuller anil Mrs Newman. MRS STILWELL TO ENTERTAIN Mrs. O. J. AT ELEVENTH WARD A number of young people of the Eleventh ward will present a comedy of four acts called "Betty's Perppi-ties" Perppi-ties" in the amusement hall tonight and tomorrow night. The cast has been rehearsing under the direction of Earl Pardoe for the past several weeks and the play will undoubtedly be most interesting. Between acts members of the ward talented in other lines of amusement will entertain with specialties. The , audience is warned to prepare for a number of surprises in both the regular regu-lar show and the special stunts. An orchestra has been arranged for and promises to do "Its little bit" toward making Betty s Perplexities" one of the amateur successes of the season. The curtain will rise each night at 8 o'clock The production will bo shown in the Eleventh ward hall on Thirty-ftrt Thirty-ftrt street near Washington. SOCIAL CLUB. Mrs. John Holden and Mrs A. L. Turner were hostesses to tho members mem-bers of the Social club auxiliary to the 0 R C Wednesdaj afternoon at the homo of Mrs. Turner. An enjoyable afternoon was spent at cards, honors being awarded to Mrs Gulllhur, Mrs. Harlin and Mrs. Miller. At 5:30 o'clock a delicious luncheon was served in the dining room, the table being prettily decorated with a centerpiece of roses and carnations. ( overs were laid for the following: Mesdames Shields. White. Hanley, Robb, Rovore, Reees, McNault, Wil son, Stone. Harlin, Miller, Gullihur, Tracy, Turner and Holden. ENTERTAINS FRIENDS. Mrs Earl H. Steele entertained a number of her friends last evening at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs T. C. Ivcrson, 841 Washington avenue ave-nue Singing and games were enjoyed enjoy-ed and at 11 o'clock the hostess served luncheon. Those present were: Miss Vlda Stewart, Mr. Lee Bartlett, Mr. and Mrs. J.
