Show EAGLES IHE RESOLVED TO STflD By THE PRESENT At a largely attended meeting of the Eagles' lodge last nit,hf, the members mem-bers evinced the loyal patriotic spirit so typical of Ogden's citizens. Resolutions Reso-lutions were adopted, unanimously in dorsing the foreign policy of the national na-tional government and pledging sup-port sup-port in every practicable way in the " maintenance of national honor. Several patriotic speeches were cheered to the echo. This was the lodge's last official meeting in its old home. It was celebrated cele-brated by the initiation of a largo class of candidates into the joys and mysteries mys-teries of Kaglodom. Next Saturday night the order will ie a farewell party in the old home. The program has not been completed, but enough is known of it to assure a most en lovable occasion. Evorvhodv is invited. The farewell party will be of the nature of a novelty smoker. The pro-cram pro-cram will start promptly at 9:15 p. nr. and will sustain throughout the same vim. fun and enthusiasm that characterize charac-terize all smokers given by this lodc All members are exerting their best efforts to make the farewell to the old home memorable in local fraternal annals. an-nals. Next Sunday the membership will assemble in a body and move into the tine new home on Grant avenue, be- tween Twenty-fourth and Twenty-fifth streets. Notice of the next regular meeting will be announced in the press. |
