Show SLIPPERWEAR FOR J SUMMER TIME Smart and adequate for all formal occasions as the high buttoned boot undoubtedly is, most women look forward with pleasure to the donning don-ning of pretty pumps and slippers when warmer days arrive. Tho high boot is just now so fashionable that all costumes of a formal nature, intended in-tended for out-of-door wear require it, and buttoned boots with topi of cloth, or entire boots of white material ma-terial will be called for even in midsummer; mid-summer; but for less formal occasions, occa-sions, for piazza and for evening; wear, the dainty pump will soon have its annual favor. The new pumps have very slender lines and the long, pointed toe that is now the mode. Both Cuban and French heels will be fashionable and most of the new pumps have a very small, pointed tongue rising tbove a 6mall bow or a line of stitching. Among the new styles is a slender, long-lined pump made of pearl gray cloth with a stitched wing tip. covered cover-ed Cuban heel and small tailored j bow of gray grosgrain ribbon. Of ! champagne colored cloth is a blu-chcr blu-chcr pump with small Coionial tongue and very high, covered Louis liecT. A very dressy pump has a patent leather vamp with white calf foxing and a diamond shaped buckle of the calf at the front, one point of which rises to form the small very dark Russia calf is a pump with pointed tongue now fancied. Of small square shaped tongue and high covered Louis heel- Like the new spring boots, pumps have higher heels than ever and these high heels combined with the trim, slender lines make the foot exceedingly dainty and aristocratic. Slippers for summer wear are of gold or silver cloth or of metal brocade bro-cade these for dancing wear of course. Footwear for the Man. A larger proportion of fabric than usual is promised in men's shos; and shoes made entirely of fabric for wear with summer suits of very light weight material, will be considered good style.
