Show CHARGES AGAINST THREE ARE DROPPED Chicago, Sept. 19. Charges against three of the seven members of the alleged 1,000,000 band of blackmailers, blackmail-ers, wero dropped when they were granted a preliminary hearing beforo United States Commissioner Foote today. to-day. Lack of evidence to hold them, it was said, prompted the action, which was requested by United States Dis trict Attorney Charles P. Cline. Those released were: Mrs. Frances Allen, alias Chapman; Mrs. Edward Donahue and George George Bland. The charges against Edward Donahue, Dona-hue, Henry Russell, Mrs. Helen Evers, alleged ring lenders of the band and James Christian were continued until Friday. |
