Show Papers Found in Woman's Trunk Lead to Disclosures in Chicago Mail Syndicate. Denver, Colo., Sept. 19. Renewed efforts were being made today by Samuel W. Johnson, district-attorney of Jefferson county, to solve the murder mur-der of William Turner June 23 last, at a summer camp near Gills, Colorado, Color-ado, following disclosures of the workings work-ings of the so-called mail syndicate in Chicago. According to Information in the bands of the district-attorney, a man known as S. E. Wilson shot Turner and fled. A. trunk belonging to Mrs. Wilson alias Mrs. Brown was seized and is said to have contained secret cipher codes and other information, informa-tion, which caused the authorities to begin an Investigation of alleged race track gambling. oo |
