SOCCER TE1 IN A CLOSE CONTEST In probably the most Interesting game of soccer football ever played in Utah, the Ogden Soccer club team was defeated last Sunday at Eureka by the Eureka team. The score was 1 to 0, the state league leaders breaking break-ing the jinx almost at the closing minute min-ute of the game. For 85 minutes, neither team was able to score. Then, owing to an injury to one of the Ogden fullbacks. Eureka was able to draw near the Ogden goal and, with a remarkable shot, put the ball over for the winning score. After this, the Ogden players increased their speed in a desperate effort to win, but the effort was vain, owing to a high wind that came up late in the game. Despite its defeat, . the Ogden club feels that the showing made against the league leaders on their own field Is a criterion that it still has a good chance to win the state championship. Every member of the team played fast and consistently, with Schipper, Kinner and Jcnkinson being the stars.
