A long record of games played, indicates that he made good with a vengeance, pitching several nohit contests and frequently striking out from 12 to 15 fen in nine Innings. Though he had a flattering offer to pitch for the Idaho Falls nine in a series with Butte, Mont., Sept. 7, 8 and 9, the Ogden pitcher said this morning that he was home to stay, and would work on the mound for the Utah Power and Light team on Labor Day and in one game during the Harvest Har-vest Festival. The Labor Day game will be the second of a series between the Utah Power and. Light of Ogden and the Stall and Dean team of Salt Lake, for tho championship of Northern Utah. Tho clubs, judging from their season record, aro evenly balanced and should put up an Interesting series. Their first game will be played in Salt Lake, Sunday afternoon. oo |
