The Misses Cleone and Oertel Rich entertained seventy-five young people at a dinner dance last Sunday evening eve-ning from 7 until 12 o'clock at Idle-wild Idle-wild In Ogden canyon. The affair was very pretty and given in. honor of Miss Leila Rich and Clarence Wright, who will be wedded this autumn. The large dining room was beautifully beauti-fully decorated in a color scheme of yellow and red. Sixty-five lights gleamed with dainty yellow shades and a profusion of sunflowers and other yellow blossoms were arranged In large Jardinieres and banked around I the fireplace. The dining tables were especially pretty with vases of sunflowers. sun-flowers. The place cards were lovely bits of sentiment and were exceptionally exception-ally attractive. Red and yellow balloons bal-loons attached to the back of each guests chair completed the bright color scheme. Crawford's orchestra furnished a delightful program of dance numbers. PRETTY. WEDDDING THURSDAY. Thursday evening at S o'clock Miss Mariorie F Miller nf Dcrlon rinrl Francis W. Doyle of Cheyenne. Wyo., were wedding at the home of the bride's aunt. Mrs. Floyd L. Couch, 141 James Court. Rev. Father P. M. Cushnahan of St. Joseph's Catholic cathedral, performing the ceremony. The bride was prettily gowned in white chiffon over embroidered lace, and carried a shower boquet of bride's roses and lilies of the valley. The only article of jewelry worn by the bride was a lavelliere of beautiful design, the gift of the groom. The bride's maid, Mrs. John Doyle. Jr., of Cheyenne, wore a lovely gown of pink taffeta. The groom was attended attend-ed by his life-long friend and companion, com-panion, John C. Carroll. Following the wedding ceremony a delicious wedding dinner was served, covers being laid for about thirty relatives rel-atives of the bride and groom. The rooms and tables were prettily decorated decor-ated with a profusion of summer flowers, flow-ers, the color scheme being carried out in pink and white. After a visit with the parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle will depart for their new home in Cheyenne, where the groom holds a responsible position with the Union Pacific Railroad company. A host of Ogden friends extend their best wishes for a happy and prosperous prosper-ous future. FAREWELL PARTY. Thursday evening twelve girl friends of Miss Mabel Peterson tendered tend-ered that young lady a pleasant farewell fare-well party at the Orpheum. Following Follow-ing the vaudeville performance the young ladies enjoyed a delicious lunch-eon at the ' Hudson chocolate shop. Miss Peterson departs for Logan Lo-gan today to make her future home. Fox and family arrived last evening from a three,-months' vacation vaca-tion on his ranches at La Barge, Wyo. Mr. Fox states everything is moving along nicely and an immense hay crop is being harvested this season. Range conditions are the best ever, and he predicts fat beef and fancy prices. MARTHA SOCIETY. Miss Mona Smith, who has been in charge of the piano and theory department de-partment of the Utah Conservatory of Music in Ogdgen for the past two years, has returned from a vacation outing in Yellowstone park. She has again elected to remain In Ogden in charge of the conservatory studio. During her two years of residence here, Miss Smith has made many friends both in social and music circles. cir-cles.
