Show oo PRECAUTION, AGAINST RABIES BEING URGED Salt Lake, April 7.- Recommendation Recommenda-tion that special guards be placed at sheep passes In western Boxelder county, where the Utah flocks will be brought in from Nevada ranges, has been mado by the state board of health to officials of Boxelder county. This Is urged as a precaution against rabies. Rabies has already made Inroads upon Boxelder county, coming from across the Nevada-Utah line. The badly infected area of Nevada is just I opposite Boxelder county. Besides the placing of guards at tho sheep passes, commissioners of Box-older Box-older will be asked to hurry tho passage pas-sage of an ordinance requiring the licensing li-censing of dogs These domestic animals ani-mals are most dangerous spreaders of rabies. Many counties of the state have already begun the licensing of dogs and the destruction of stray dogs because of the rabies epidemic. Examination of the latest coyote head received by Dr. L. L. Haines, tho stato bacteriologist, indicated that the rabies had nia"oo .progress in Boxelder Boxeld-er county as fjteast as Kelton. |
