Show DOCTOR REFUSES TO CHANGE HIS REPORT Salt Lake, April 7. The state board of medical examiners yesterday afternoon after-noon decided against Dr. B. L. Kess-ler Kess-ler In the latter's foutl with Dr. J. E. Young over the death certificate Issued by Kessler in a cage whero Young had administered treatment. Kessler reported that the patient had died from an overdose of morphine Tho action of the medical examin-' i ers In overthrowing Kessler's con- k tention and ordering him to change his report to the state board of health was In concurrence with the action taken by the state board of health some time ago. Although ordered by the medical examiners to do so, Dr. Kessler refused after the meeting yea- i terday to change his report to the board of health. Both physicians in the case live In Bountiful, Davis county. coun-ty. They are rival practitioners. The feud has attracted attention of the '; medical profession all over the state. Dr. Young charged that Dr. Kessler's Kess-ler's report of the death was Incorrect Incor-rect and seriously reflected upon him i as a physician. Both the hoard of health and the board of medical ex- I aminers took the same view. Both boards decided that the patient did not die from the dose of morphine administered by Dr. Young; that the treatment was proper and was insufficient insuf-ficient to cause death, and that tho patient died from the natural -causes of the disease from which he suffered. |
