Larson, of tho Shupe-Wllliams Candy company, a corps of expert decorators began at noon today, to place the decorations and puro food demonstration demonstra-tion booths in "The Modern Market." This work Is preparatory to the grand opening of tho new Wilcox-Schade-Harris store, which will begin tomorrow at 12 o'clock noon, and continue con-tinue until Saturday night, the daily open house hours being from noon until 9 p. m. During the past week, the stocks of the three grocery firms amalgamated amalgamat-ed to form the Wilcox-Schade-Harrls corporation, have been moved from the old stands into the Modern Market, Mar-ket, all of the equipment has been placed In the different departments and, with the exception of the special decorating, everything was in readiness readi-ness today for the opening. Among the companies who have reserved re-served booths for the serving of j their products during the three days, are. Ogden Packing & Provision company, com-pany, Preston Milling company, Utah Canning company. Amalgamated Sugar Su-gar company, Parker Canneries, God-dard God-dard Pickle & Preserving company, Everfresh Food company, J. G. McDonald Mc-Donald Chocolate company, Shupe-WSlliams Shupe-WSlliams Candy company, and the Banner Canning company. The Market company has also ar- I ranged for special entertainment dur-. ing the afternoons and evenings. An orchestra will furnish music in the , evenings, every child visiting the1 store will be given a toy balloon, and I every woman will be presented with a I souvenir of some type. |
