Show 00 I WORLD'S HMKE1S Chicago Grain Chicago, April 12. Higher prices for wheat resulted today from a general gen-eral rush to buy. The Incentives lay In continued adverse reports of the domestic winter crop and In bullish cable dispatches about European continental con-tinental requirements not being adequately ade-quately supplied by Argentine and Australian shipments. Bull leaders here were predicting a renewal this year of the early war time pinch In wheat supplies. Opening prices, which ranged from 5-S3-4 to 1 3-8g 1 l-2c higher, with May at $1.18 1-2 to 1.19 1-4 and July at 1.16 to 1.16 1-2, were followed by decided further fur-ther gains. Corn hardened with wheat Upturns, Up-turns, however, were relatively small. After opening a shade to l-43-8c higher, the market receded a little. Oats developed Cirmness, the result re-sult mainly of the action of other grain. Selling was only of a scattered scat-tered kind. Higher quotations on hogs lifted provisions. On the bulge packers and longs unloaded. The wheat market closed, 1 3-4 to 2 3-8c net higher, with May at $1.19 7-81.20 and July at $1.17 1-8. The corn close was steady at a shade to l-8c net higher than Monday's Mon-day's finish. Free buying of lard attracted considerable con-siderable attention. The demand seemed to come chiefly from speculators. speculat-ors. Omaha Livestock. Omaha, Nebr, April 12. Hogs Receipts Re-ceipts 8800. higher.
