Show INDICTMENTS ARE FOUND IN IDAHO Boise. Jan 7 That two indictments indict-ments were, returned by the grand jury today was reported, although no official announcement to that effect has been made For the past two days the grand jury has been inquiring into the affairs af-fairs of the pure food department. Records galore from the office of that department have been taken into the grand jury room and deputies and clerks have been examined. It Is believed th" crand jury today completed com-pleted its investigation of that department de-partment Two witnesses called before be-fore the jury todav were Axel P. Rain-stedt. Rain-stedt. chairman of the state tax commission, com-mission, and who. upon orders from ex-Governor Haines, made an examination exami-nation of the books of the state treasury treas-ury department and R W Wark. a clerk in the state auditor's office. The officials here announced tonight to-night that the indictments would not be made known until the defendant or defendants are brought Into court. They refuse to intimate who is in-solved, in-solved, and there is unusual specula 'inn as to whom the bills are directed gainst. |
