Show THEATERS 1 AT THE ORPHEUM. Orpheum patrons in large numbers were entertained In a most satisfying way yesterday afternoon and evening by the players whose acts form the Marcus Loew road show No. 9. The headllner is Slayman All's Hoaloos. a troupe of Arabian bounding bound-ing acrobats. For strength and agility agil-ity these dark skinned athletes could not well be surpassed, as they throw each other about as though they did not weight anything. Second honors go to Mabel Cameron, Camer-on, Alan Devitt and company in the sketch. "The Groom Forgot." The sketch is a cleverly written farce and Mr. Davltt Is the most finished actor that has been seen here In months. Their work was enthusiastically ro- i ceived. On an ordinary "ten-twent-thirl" program, Wilson Brothers could be given headlinp honors, but third place this week is no disgrace. Their comedy and vocal efforts were thor- j oughly appreciated . Some classical singing is done by Marjorie Riley and Virgil Holmes, a dramatic soprano of considerable ability abil-ity and an excellent baritone. Sally Stcmbler and Brother in "The Hundred Yard Dash, fill In well between be-tween two of the othr sketches. The lady is an excellent comedienne and her brother a pleasing juvenile The sketch also contains some line well worth hearing. ('.olden ;ind Wesr who open the bill, are clog dancers par excellence. |
