Show SAYS HE CAIOT Pi! ALIMONY DE11E0 : 111 DIVORCE I In his own behalf, and without the assistance of an attorney, George W. Sommers took the witness stand in Judge N. J. Harris' court this morning morn-ing and successfully met the motion that he show cause why he should not pay alimony, and costs of a suit instituted by his wife, Elizabeth J. Sommers, for divorce. It will require only about two min-ut"s min-ut"s for me to tell my side of the story." Mr. Sommers said as he approached ap-proached the witness chair, "a- I have but little to say, "My wife left me cold last July and has been away ever since. She is perfectly welcome to a divorce if she can stand the price, but I have not a dollar to spend on It I work at odd jobs and have had nothing mini, to do for six months I have no means, and cannot pay for a divorce, that Is all there is to it " After a brief examination of Mr Sommers by the attorney for the plaintiff. Judge Harris stated that he would not make an order in the case, but would await the final termination of the suit |
