Show PIONEER WOMAN IS DEAD AT HER HOME Salt Lake, Jan 8, Mrs Metta Christensen, mother of Attorney So-ren So-ren X Christensen, died at the home of her daughter. Mrs William Bag-nail, Bag-nail, in Chester. Sanpete county, at S o'clock last night, according to word received by Mr. Christensen. Death was due to general debility, Mrs. Christensen's health hamt gradualh failed since her husband died ten years ago Mr6 Christensen was a native of Denmark. She came to Utah In I860, walking across the plains. Shortly after arriving here she was married to Lar6 Christensen, with whom she became acquainted on the Journey from her native land Six sons and three daughters survive sur-vive Mrs Christensen They are Lars Christensen of Castle Dale, Utah; Sorcn X ChriKtensen and E R. Christensen of this city; Joseph Christensen of Grace, Idaho; Hyrum Christensen of Ingham. Mont.; Charles Christensen of Mount Pleasant, Pleas-ant, Utah; Mrs. George Alsopp, living liv-ing In Idaho, and Mrs. William and Mrs. Joseph Bagnall, both living at Chester. Mrs Christensen first made her home at Provo upon arriving in Utah Later she lived in Mount Pleasant, and for the past twenty years had lived In Chester. Arrangements for the funeral have not beon made and will be announced later. |
