Jan S In an order issued today by the interstate com-merce com-merce commission, supplementary to the order? granting an increase of o per cent In certain specified freight rates, the eastern railroads were directed di-rected to preserve "existing groupings and relationships, even though, by so doing, some rates are Increased slightly slight-ly more than 5 per cent." In the opinion of the committee such relationships 'in the Interests of carriers and of competition between be-tween shippers and receivers." ought to be maintained The commission further fixed a definite def-inite percentage of the New York-Chicago York-Chicago rates which may be charged to and from intermediate points. Per ccntage scales also were established for the charges to be exacted between the various freight territories.
