Show CHANCES ARE MADE IN THE POSTAL REGULATIONS Beginning September 1, according to a bulletin just issued by the United States postal department, fourth clasB or parcel post malh win be Insured In-sured for its equivalent value by the department, on payment of a designated desig-nated fee in addition to postage. For a package valued at $5, the fee will be 3 cents; a package valued at $25 will call for a fee of 5 cents and a package valued at $100 will require a fee of 10 cents. No insurance, however, how-ever, will be paid on insured packages pack-ages mailed to the Philippine Islands, unless tho package Is lost in the United States postal service. Tho new order Ib known as No. 9099 and is an amendment to Section 488, Postal Laws and Regulations. As at the present time, no parcel post mall will bo registered. Another order recently issued, relating re-lating to changes in parcel post zone rating, also effective September 1, is as follows: "On and after September 1, all post-offices post-offices that are 300 or more miles from the Ogden postofflce by the shortest post route, and yet have been within the second zone (50 to 150 miles) will be rated as within the third zone, and thero can be but 20 pounds to each package as third zone rates and conditions apply. The offices of-fices affected are: "Nevada Contact, Jarbridge and San Jacinto. "Utah Bridgeport, Dragon, Jensen, Vernal (fourth class mail), Watson and Willows. Wyoming Big Sandy, Dondurant, Boulder, Brooks, Cheney, Elkhorn, Fayette, Jackson, Kendall, New Fork, Pacific and Wilson " |
