STEAMER SINKS ! OFF EIIONT KEY Tampa, Fla., Nov. 19. The steamer Mildred, plying between Tampa and' Fcrt Meyers, was sunk in collision with the schooner Brazos early today off Kgmont Key, five miles southwest of the Tampa harbor entrance. The Mildred's pr.sscngers and crew, 15 in nil were rescued The Brazos Is reported re-ported to hae been badly damaged. When the Mildred settled on the bottom her topmost deck wns just above water The passengers and crew remained on board for five hours until taken off b a pilot boat. The Mildred is an old steamer, valued val-ued at $66,000 The Brazos was kept afloat by a cargo of lumber which she was carrying carry-ing frcm Tampa to Cuba. Tugs today to-day were sent to tow the Brazos to this port. oo
