Show SRIDW STORM GENERAL OVER THIS REGION The snow storm of yesterday was neral over the northern portion of tho state, and was especially beneficial bene-ficial at this time of the year, as it will serve as a base for later snows fanning a snow-Ice which lasts until late in the summer. The storm was unexpected. It developed de-veloped In the northwest, extending over" the northern portion of Utah and Into soutben Wyoming and northern Colorado The snow reached reach-ed southwest to Modena and outh east to Grand Junction, traveling in i northeasterly direction. To the north the storm extended to Pocatello and Boise, Ida Reports from various parts of the -itatc show a snowfall as far south us Modena. At Provo, about three Inches fell during the niht and a little more during the day. Logan, where warm temperatures had brought winter wheat to the surface, giving the fields the appearance of spring, received a fall of two inches during the night. The storm abated there, but later recommenced. Keber City had a four-inch fall in the night, the sky clearing In the morning. Brigbam City and Nephl, according to reports, had falls both In the night and day. while Eureka had a fall of five inches in the nlsht. the snow there drifting before a henvy wind and causing some block ing of street traffic, also hindering working at nearby mines Pocatello received two inches of snow during the night. t Bingham had the heaviest fall reported, re-ported, two feet of snow being measured meas-ured there. |
