Show HEN OF THE CITY SCHOOLS OK TO THE POOS The Salvation Army has received generous contributions of toy?, money, clothing and food supplies from the s( hool children of the city to aid ln making happy the homes of many ol the poor people at Christmas time The contributions were taken frou most of the schools yesterday snd thce of the Madison and Lorln Farr schools were the largest. A Christmas tree will be tho at traction for the poor children at tae National Guard Armory next Wednes day and the public Is Invited to be present Tickets will be distributed to the children who need the rare ol the Salvation Army and only those holding tick -ts will receive gifts and ether attentions from Santa Claus at the Armory. The officials of the local Salvation Army po3t have more than 100 ehll-dren ehll-dren in mind who shall be looked af ter Tho Army received from the kettlea which have been placed on all of th.-uptown th.-uptown street comers. $48.80, which Is much le&3 than was obtained last year. on |
