Show TEST CASE OF NEW LAW DISMISSED BY COURT Salt Lake, Dec 9. The first case to test the statute enacted by tho lr.st legislative prohibiting the re-celling re-celling of money from laboring men to insure them permanent work was dismissed by Justice of the Peace Harry S. Harper yesterday because of lack of evidence. It was the case of the State versus Steve Collas. Collar Col-lar was charged with receiving 5 from Paul Demakos as a considera tion for agreeing to keep Demakos in a steady job with the Utah Copper company at the Bingham mines County Attorney Horace H. Smith conducted the prosecution. Nephi Jensen, A. C. Ellis Jr and George Y. Wasson were attorneys for the defendant. oo |
