Show oo TELEPHONE MATTER DISCUSSED Ephralm, March 6. The Ephrainv Commercial club met last ovening in the clubrooms and with a lively attendance at-tendance the meeting- was made a real success. The main object discussed was consideration of the advisability of-Installing of-Installing a local telephone system, which has been a problem of agitation agita-tion for two years. For some time the proposal made by k private corporation cor-poration was considered, but later disapproved. The proposition was tnat this private concern, composed of Ephraim citizens, was to put in the system and at any time convenient conveni-ent to the city it could be purchased by the city at a reasonable price. The report of the committee, consisting con-sisting of H. C. Jenson, P. C. Anderson Ander-son and D, P. Madson, was to the effect that conditions were favorable to absolute municipal ownership, which has always been a strong policy pol-icy In the Ephraim government. |
