Show CARPENTER "KNOCKED OUT" BY PATROLMAN Salt Lake, April 13 J. E. Swene, a carpenter living at 347 Fuller ave-enue, ave-enue, returned home to celebrate Easter Eas-ter yesterday after having ben absent ab-sent since last December. But Swene. apparently did not approve of the manner in which things around home were being run, and be began to show his displeasure so violently that he ended up in a cell at the police station sta-tion later in the afternoon. Mounted Patrolman R. C. Wooloy responded to a call sent in by tho frantic memberB of Swene's family from a neighbor's residence. The family declared Swene had driven them out of the house and had threatened threat-ened to kill his wife. Wheithe officer offi-cer approached Swene to arrest, him the latter displayed his objection by maklng a vicious swing at tho patrolman. patrol-man. Unfortunately for Swena he was a little late, and Patrolman Wooley is ready to wager that Swene saw stars as he fell. He was still "out" when the patrol arrived and conveyed him to jail. |
