Show BAPTIST CHURCH ON EISTER WAS IDE BEAUTIFUL i t- . A wealth of callas and potted plants, with trailing vines, and a cross decorated in white, with helpful help-ful solos by Jay A. Smith and Law renco Grcenwell, made the Easter morning service one long to be remembered. re-membered. The Easter sermon delivered deliv-ered by Rev, Zimmerman dealt with the great theme of Immortality, showing show-ing iiow men are not creatures of a day. but are created with hopes, desires, de-sires, longings, that only Immortality can satisfy. The evening was an impressive service. Ono of the features of the service was a recitation by Miss Ruby Cook, who recited "The Vision of Sir Launfal," which was well received. receiv-ed. Miss Cook was at her best in this recitation, and held tho attention atten-tion of the audience to the end. AI the close of the service nine young people from the bible school, were baptized Into the fellowship of the church. Miss Ruth Johnson presided at the piano, and accompanied the special soloists both morning ana evening. Mr. Robert Grcenwell furnished fur-nished the special solo at the evening even-ing hour. Some of the lilies that formed form-ed the decorations, were given to the sick and aged, and the remainder were sent to the wards in the Deo hospital. on |
