After a sharp fight, the senate yesterday yes-terday parsed the general insurance measure which contains stringent provisions against rebating Senator.--. Craig and Rideout charged thai the bill was to throttle competition and to pive certain Insurance companies a monopoly on the insurance business Other senators declared that the effect ef-fect of the bill would be precisely the opposite. Finally tho bill was passed bs a vote of 12 to 4 Senators Craig, Rideout. Williams and President Gardnei voting aaginst it.
