BENEFIT CONCERT TO LATE ROBT IS SUCCESS sympathy Sm pathy for the b family of robert who died monday la salt lake as well as the excellent program arranged resulted in the crowding of the fifth ward meeting house last evening by a number of the old time friends of the deceased and others familiar with his misfortune who listened with pleasure to the program rendered it la seldom that a concert possessing more real merit has been gives n he city and those who contributed their eff ortto this worthy cause de aerie araie praie not only lor the generosity which prompted their donating their services hut for ofle excellence of their contributions to the evenings entertainment when the benefit was planned mr mcbean was alive though dangerously ill at the latter day saints hospital in salt lake hla death was felt keenly by all who attended the concert and although his funeral booc place yesterday the thought of the ht tie ones that he had left behind caused those in charge of the concert to decide not to postpone it tills is not ft criticism there is none 0 o be offered the concert its object and the general excellence of all who participated precludes anything in the way 0 a criticism for it was a noble work nobly planned and nobly executed
