COUNTY commissioners at the afternoon session of the board ot county commissioners yes arday bids were received tor the building of the abutments tor the anve briddes to be erected in ogden valley but two bids were received and tho contract tor the work was award to bakeman doyle who submitted the lowest bids tor both the cement and rock work the contract price Is a perch for the stone work the stone to ba furnished by the county and 3 a yard for the cement work A communication was received by the board from county clerk david mattson calling attention of the board to a provision in the session laws 0 1906 which provides that the county shall audit the county claims allowed by the couty cleric at least once in three months after the communication bad been read mr madsen moved that the auditing ot the claims be referred to the chairman of tho board this called forth a protest from commissioner stanford who refused to audit the blaime intimating that the legislature had no right to enforce such regulations on tho county commissioners ners in the meantime mr mattson derler how he is going to get tho lair complied with and the pelts in the court house basement are ageing
