ALTHOUGH NO OFFICIAL AT TEMPT IS BEING MADE special train reaches cheyenne from ogdan la ten hours and fifty minutes from wednesdays standard while the railroad hare given out the information that no attempt to make a record Is being made by the harraman Harrl man special which left this city for the east yesterday morning at 1133 the figures speak for themselves and it the train Is not trying to make a record it is certainly doing so unconsciously from information that has been gathered it seems that the run from san francisco to was made in something over 18 hours and that an average of 45 miles an hour was made for tho distance while the time for the run was several hours ahead of the best time that has ever been made by the overland limited which acs held tho record the special reached cheyenne at 10 23 last evening having covered the miles between ogden and tho wyoming capital in 10 hours and 50 minutes which is hours and three minutes ahead of the time made by the limited to outsiders the lime made would lakeit seem that at the rate the special is traveling it would smash every record for the distance from the pacific to the atlantic
