that tho name should be thirty thousand population club instead of the ami knockers club the following constitution for the Kuld anre of th club was adopted by a unanimous vote constitution of the thousand population club of ogden utah ARTICLE I 1 asame this club shall be known as the thirty thousand population club of ogden utah and shall meet once each quarter and may be called in special meeting by nt at any time by garing at least two days notice ARTICLE II 11 object the object of this club shall be to effectually stop the knocking of ogden city aad her best inter cuts by ier people and to promote the up building of l by tho building of factories and tha of home industries ARTICLE III qualification of members any citizen ot ogden city may be come a member of this club on the payment of 39 casts for admission fro i and pledging himself in writing to pay 20 cents additional each month in advance tor twelve months and by further pledging himself for a period of twelve months not to knock any proposition for the erection of a factory or enterprise proposed for ogden city and that he will support homo industries dus tries osden products ARTICLE IV officer the officers of the club shall be a president a first vice president a second vice president a secretary and a treasurer and a board of twenty one directors the aforesaid of floers shall be part of said board of directors and a finance committee to be composed of the cashiers of all the state and national banks of city and the president of the club who shall be chairman ARTICLE V duties of finance committee the finance committee safely keep and invest the clubs money in such manner that it can be called for on short notice ARTICLE VI executive committee the officers of the club shall constitute tho executive committee and shall have all the powers of the club and shall exercise it whenever n majority of said officers shall 0 o direct except when any money other than the admission tee hall be appropriated it shall be submitted to the board of directors A majority of said board shall have authority to appropriate the clubs moaby in accordance with article VII except that the admission fee shall be used to pay the clubs incidental expenses and shall be subject to the orders of the president who shall make a report thereof to the board of directors and club once each quarter ARTICLE VIL disbursement of funds the membership fee shall be asod exclusively for expenses of the club the guarantee fund of 30 cents per month tor twelve months ahall be turned over to the finance corn cittee each month and shall be safely kept by them until eleven or more of the board of directors shall certify that such part of said fund as may be requested is to be used to actually locate a factory in city and that the money thus appropriated Is to be used cither to buy land or to purchase stock or bonds of or to make a loan to a factory to be located in city i ARTICLE VIII power of board of torp
