MAYOR AND politicians pipe dream of a reporter with a alv id imagination the salt lake herald tries to make a sensation oot a meeting of three men in the mayors office yesterday afternoon the herald says it waa agreed that mayor glasmann is to be a candidate for and that in a few days he will make an announcement of his candidacy etc the statement as a whole is absolutely untrue the herald reporter must have looked upon the wine when it is red as the new reporter has been unusually fair in his reports in the past in this instance his imagination must hae beba strangely vivid to conjure up unknown things it is true however that two men who had business with judge murphy in the city hall building seeing the mayors office open stepped in and greeted the maor on his return from the east one of them said that the people will insist on the mayors and the latter replied by saying that he had received no such information and advised the gentlemen to let up on their pipe didama the mayor says positively that nothing further was said or done at the said alleged political meeting
